We are Liliya and Metodi from different parts of Bulgaria. I, Liliya, am the cook and baker. We have been living in Spain for more than 20 years. We opened the doors of our Taberna Mítica for the first time in March 2017, in the Terra Mítica theme park in Benidorm. A very nice place for its natural environment. As an anecdote comment, that the 8th of March which is international women's day, and I am a woman, with all our illusion, we had the idea of opening a Tavern/Restaurant for this reason we chose this great day! Our beginnings were with many illusions and desire, we already had a great experience, but little by little we advanced we were reaching much more as it is normal with the passage of time, always learning to go trying new things and improving many others and finally arrived at this moment, we decided to change location for greater comfort, improvement and progress!
Now you can find us at Avenida de Estocolmo 48 in Benidorm. A totally refurbished restaurant with very good taste, with a large terrace with a beautiful garden, a spacious and professional kitchen, fully air-conditioned, so that our clients' stay is as comfortable and satisfying as possible.
The type of cuisine is Bulgarian-Mediterranean. We have a wide variety of salads, starters, grilled meats, desserts, wines and much more.
A homemade meal... that you will surely repeat. ;)
The typical dishes most requested by our customers are shopska and tzatziki salads, feta cheese in puff pastry with honey and sesame, breaded cheese with homemade jam, our charcuterie and cheese boards, shashlik (a skewer of marinated pork or chicken tenderloin) and sach (a clay plate with meat, sausages and vegetables).
We also highlight the best smoked BBQ ribs on the grill, the combined meat platters for 6 people, the guiveches (typical Bulgarian clay pots), and of course our delicious and much sought after desserts baklava, Bulgarian yoghurt with organic walnuts and homemade honey, and our delicious homemade cakes of the day.
